Apsley Farms Premium topsoil is an A grade, very high-quality loamy soil that is high fertility and provides a good structure for building beds and supporting plant growth.

Our Premium Topsoil provides the optimum nutrient levels for establishing young plants and encouraging healthy root development. Our Topsoil has an open and free-draining structure.

We strive for consistency in delivering a premium product as you will see from the pictures, the soil is a uniform deep dark colour and is stored in dry conditions to prevent compaction for ease of customer use in the garden.

All of our soil is sourced from greenfield sites and screened to 6mm – we do not use recycled soil, skip waste, etc.

It is certified to British Standard BS3882-15.

Blending topsoil with mulch for best results

We highly recommend the use of our premium topsoil with 20% of our Soil-Improving Mulch. Below is a picture of the results of an independent lab test. On the left is a Tomato plant with 100% control, and on the right is the same variety of Tomato grown in 80% control and 20% Apsley farm mulch. I know which plant I want.

I can highly recommend this soil conditioner it's fantastic value really helps suppress weeds and feed plants at the same time, used in back garden in spring now added to front garden as well.
