Ticks all the boxes. One bag of mulch seemed to be never ending when we spread it around our allotment. It covered the entire plot (see pics). This is a company local to Andover generating sustainable power using bio-degradable material. The waste product of this eco-friendly energy production is excellent plant compost. It is light and easy to distribute with a fork. In the pictures you can see we spread it around existing leeks and newly sprouting garlic without harming them. If you buy bags of compost from a garden centre you are most likely destroying a peat bog in Scotland which has then burned hundreds of miles of fuel to get to you. If you bought the equivalent amount it would be multiple times more expensive than this product. It ticks all the boxes of saving the environment by supporting a new eco enterprise by using their excellent by-product.
Great friendly company , drivers very helpful and managed to lift the bulk bag over a 6ft fence into the garden to get it off of the public footpath saved me a lot of time thanks to the drivers concerned.
We had a delivery of soil improver mulch from Apsley Farms last November so have had plenty of time to see the results now. Delivery was easy and on time and came with lots of helpful advice from the driver. The mulch was fairly easy to dig and spread and gave a good covering making our borders look very neat and tidy.
It seems to go a lot further than Apsley recommend even with a generous covering. It started to be taken into the soil through the winter however it is still very much present (early June) on the top layer which has not only formed a really good weed mat but has helped keep the soil damper. I would highly recommend this product which is not only effective but extremely good value for money.
What a fantastic product – the garden looks the best it ever has. The product is very consistent and easy to lay on beds and seems to stay put very well.
Highly recommended over buying small plastic bags from the garden centre and much cheaper. I soon got rid of a large bag on my small garden and veg plot
