Our Multi-Purpose Top Soil is perfect for all general garden use. It can be for all those different jobs needed throughout the gardening year.

The main uses include:

  • Laying turf
  • Pots and potting on
  • Creating new flower beds and borders
  • Filling raised beds
  • Topping up borders

The topsoil that we have in stock has been screened and debris has been removed. A small amount of grit and stones remain in the soil to help aid drainage.

It is peat and waste free. For the best results combine it with our Soil Improving Mulch to give those plants, vegetables and flowers the perfect root base. We would recommend mixing 30% Mulch with 70% Top Soil for the best growing medium.

Each bag is delivered is approximately 500 litres which weighs about 750 kg.

It is free delivery within 30 miles of the farm and will be delivered using our vans with hiab so we can get onto those gravel driveways!

Quick note to say the Soil Improver/mulch  was safely delivered by a really professional guy who reversed into our drive in rush hour from a busy country lane and manoeuvred into quite a tight space and placed the 2 bags exactly where I wanted them. We have had several bags of the mulch this year on two occasions. Time will tell, but it seems to have achieved the soil improvement we were after and settled down nicely. The guys at AF have been excellent - knowledgeable, helpful, great value and accommodating. I miscalculated our delivery dates, but they readily rearranged at short notice so as not to disappoint. Delivery was spot on and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend and will purchase again.

Dear Team (especially Tom!) Thank you very much for your kind delivery on Thursday, much appreciated. Your mulch is incredibly good, the best of the best! My friends buy from you and highly recommend your good selves. Your communication and customer service are first class. Kevin was very friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Initially it looked like my order was out of reach as I am beyond your radius for half a dozen bags. However, the keen eyed Tom was pro-active and gave me a call out of the blue when I had given up hope! He kindly cut me a deal on the delivery charge so that we could go ahead to my great relief.
