Our Multi-Purpose Top Soil is perfect for all general garden use. It can be for all those different jobs needed throughout the gardening year.

The main uses include:

  • Laying turf
  • Lawn dressing
  • Pots and potting on
  • Creating new flowerbeds and borders
  • Filling raised beds.
  • Topping up boarders.

The Topsoil that we have in stock has been screened and had all traces of stones and debris has been removed. A small about of grit remains in the soil to help aid drainage.

It is peat and waste free and for the best results combine it with our Soil Improving Mulch to give those plants, vegetables and flowers the perfect root base. We would recommend mixing 20% Mulch with 80% Top Soil for the best growing medium.

Each bag is delivered is approximately 730 litres which weighs about 1 tonne.

It is free delivery within 30 miles of the farm and will be delivered using our vans with hiab so we can get onto those gravel driveways!

A couple of days ago the order for Composted Bark was delivered, it was early - great. And I was amazed at the quality!  I had visited a couple of local suppliers only to dismiss them because the product was not to my standard.  I searched the internet and found Apsley.  Understandably I took a chance with my purchase only having recourse to reviews.  When the compost arrived I was not disappointed, in fact I had a smile on my face.  Your product is of exceptional quality and exactly what I wanted.  Many many thanks.  You certainly have my recommendation and a review will follow.
