Our Multi-Purpose Top Soil is perfect for all general garden use. It can be for all those different jobs needed throughout the gardening year.

The main uses include:

  • Laying turf
  • Lawn dressing
  • Pots and potting on
  • Creating new flowerbeds and borders
  • Filling raised beds.
  • Topping up boarders.

The Topsoil that we have in stock has been screened and had all traces of stones and debris has been removed. A small about of grit remains in the soil to help aid drainage.

It is peat and waste free and for the best results combine it with our Soil Improving Mulch to give those plants, vegetables and flowers the perfect root base. We would recommend mixing 20% Mulch with 80% Top Soil for the best growing medium.

Each bag is delivered is approximately 730 litres which weighs about 1 tonne.

It is free delivery within 30 miles of the farm and will be delivered using our vans with hiab so we can get onto those gravel driveways!

We've just had 4 big bags of mulch delivered today. Ordering was pretty easy and Tracy was very helpful despite our delivery instructions being a little complicated. Neil delivered the bags and was patient and helpful despite a few issues getting the mulch to where I wanted it. All in all a great service. I obviously haven't used the mulch yet, but it looks good, hopefully we'll see good results with our produce next year.

It not only looks to be great quality, but was delivered in time and not just left kerbside as I was expecting, but delivered up and over the hedge which was a big bonus. To Apsley Farms As you know I am delighted with your mulch - it is a very convenient nutrient for my garden soil and forms a natural weed barrier. So good is the weed barrier effect when the mulch meshes together that I barely need to weed anymore. I am particularly moved to write to commend you on your "Liquid Plant Food". It has literally worked wonders. I have a Camellia tree in my front garden. It sits next to two large silver birches and has never flowered in the ten years that I've lived here, nor had it flowered for the previous owners (they pointed this out when I moved in). It has not been healthy, shedding yellow leaves even in the summer. Within 3 months of applying 5 litres of your diluted plant food late in the season an albeit solitary, perfect white flower appeared. This led me to notice that all the leaves were lush green with not a dead leaf in sight. The tree had boosted 2 or 3 feet in height. This is almost miraculous and a great testament to the beneficial effects of your plant food. I unreservedly recommend your plant food and mulch. Thank you Best wishes Andrew
